Predicted Fashion Trends of 2025
Throughout 2024, we experienced many fashion trends during the year. We saw the comeback of leopard print, the rise of bows, burgundy, cherry red clothes and accessories, micro shorts and faux fur coats. While some of these famous trends may be lucky enough to come back, others were a one-time experience. For instance, leopard print was a huge trend this year with all articles of clothing and bags were covered with leopard, and cheetah prints. What shall 2025 experience? Keep reading to find out!
- Boho Chic (Suede especially)
This fashion style particularly focuses on knee-high boots but may even venture off to clothes like jackets and pants. Suede became popular during the 90s however, it has fallen in and out of fashion. Granted, we are expecting to see a rise in suede fashion products this year. For women, suede is expected to increase by 17% among women between July-September compared to 2024. Suede loafers are expected to be a trend, this is expected to grow by 30%. Suede adds a rich texture to any outfit that upgrades any look.
- Buttery Vanilla Yellow (Colour of the year?)
This colour is soft, buttery, and a muted shade of yellow. This colour is very versatile and it is expected to see an increase in use during the spring/summer seasons of 2025. This colour is predicted to take over our wardrobes this year. From delicate camisoles to tailored jackets and flowy dresses this colour is done in a very effortless way. This colour’s trend is expected to rise by 11%, adding fresh, classy elegance to this year.
- Thong Sandals
Thong sandals were originally a short trend a while back but now they have made a comeback and it’s supposed to stay. These sandals are sleek, square-toe silhouettes created in rich, smooth leather that add a lavish touch to your outfit. These thong sandals and thong heels can pair perfectly for a night out or a daytime outfit. This summer shoe will definitely make an appearance this year. These sandals and heels pair best with tailored trousers for a more professional look or match them with a flowy summer dress for a more casual look.
- Fancy Elevated Everyday Totes
These fancy elevated totes pair great with a more laid-back look. These larger bags can fit many necessities and add a sophisticated look to your outfit, perfect for a working fit. In 2024, we saw the incline in purchases of the classic Longchamp tote everyone was wearing to school, work, and run errands. This Longchamp tote will always be popular as it is timeless and chic. However, companies such as: Coach, Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors are great alternatives as well!
5. Whimsical Silk Headscarves
Headscarves are making a strong and bold comeback this year, which adds a hint of old-school glamour with a modern addition. Headscarves could have a variety of styling methods. Some headscarf users opt to wrap them around their head in a classic, old-money, Audrey Hepburn fashion or to effortlessly tie them around their neck/handbags for a luxurious touch. In 2025, we are expected to see headscarves in flashy prints, dainty pastels, and lavish jewel tones, which makes them versatile to suit any style.
